Jasmine McKay - LIFT - Community Services

Jasmine McKay

Jasmine McKay

Jasmine McKay joined the Lift board in 2026. She grew up in qathet and works as a long-term care aid, supporting seniors in our community. She also brings over a decade of local volunteering to the role, including 4 years with our community partner YouthCat.

Jasmine has participated in a variety of our programs, including Babies Open New Doors (BOND), Family Place, and Community House, and she is excited to bring insights from her own experience to Lift’s services and programs.

Jasmine believes that authentic compassion is necessary for real hope and equity. She wants people to understand that equality and equity are different: equality assumes everyone needs the same support, while equity meets people where they are and gives them the support they need to reach the same quality of life as others.

When she’s not engaged in community, Jasmine loves hiking, camping, and exploring the gorgeous world outside our doors with her husband and two children.

We live and work on the homelands and territories of the Tla’amin People. We honour the land, the Tla’amin People, and their treaty and continually seek to strengthen our relationship and responsibilities to them as guests in the territory.
