Lift’s supportive housing, funded by BC Housing, provides subsidized housing and 24-hour support services to single low-income adults, seniors and people with disabilities at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
Participants at Supportive Housing have access to two meals a day, laundry and home support, access to recreation activities, daily wellness checks, and individualized support including appointment reminders, life skills training, and connections to health care, mental health and substance use services. These supports help people in our community find and maintain stable housing and meet their personalized health and wellness goals.
Our supportive housing building opened in December 2019, as a rapid response to homelessness in Powell River. We are proud to help provide for our community’s basic needs – shelter, food, and health care – as a first step in reducing the harmful health and community impacts of homelessness in our community.
