Our Services

Literacy Outreach

We work to improve literacy and support literacy development in qathet Region. Our services are available and free of cost to all residents of qathet who are Canadian citizens, Temporary Foreign Workers, and Permanent Residents.

We provide one-on-one and group tutoring for adults and literacy support in various community settings.

Our program is run by staff and volunteer tutors.

Literacy includes learned skills that are used to function in our daily lives and in the community, and includes:

  • Digital literacy – how to use technology
  • Family literacy – resources to support parents and kids
  • Health literacy – how to navigate healthcare
  • Environmental literacy – resources to understand the environment
  • Systems literacy – how systems work
