List of Requirements
- Ability to provide a safe, caring, and supportive home for an adult with a developmental disability or acquired brain injury
- Must be of legal age (19 years or older)
- Valid Work Safe B.C. approved Emergency First Aid + CPR (can be obtained before placement)
- Satisfactory Driver’s Abstract – ICBC Driver’s Public Search
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Review Program (CRRP) – for working with children and/or vulnerable adults
- Anyone living in your home who is 19 years or older will also be required to complete a CRRP
- Valid home/tenant insurance

Are you passionate about making a difference in someone’s life? inclusion powell river is looking for compassionate individuals or families to become HomeShare Providers. You will provide a safe, caring, and supportive home for an adult with a developmental disability or acquired brain injury, helping them thrive and live a great life.
What You’ll Do
- Build Relationships: You will establish and maintain a warm, personal relationship with the individual, as well as their mother and friends. You will assist the individual in creating and maintaining positive relationships.
- Implement Plans: Assist the individual in reaching their goals and accessing supports that enable them to live a full and inclusive life. This may involve attending meetings with inclusion or healthcare professionals.
- Daily Assistance: Provide gentle reminders and support for maintaining cleanliness, and bedtime routines.
- Engage in Activities: Support interests such as hiking, swimming, time in nature and learning to cook.
- Provide: Meals/access to food and cooking supplies as well as suitable housing.

- Age: 20-year-old male
- Living Preference: own bedroom and bathroom
- Interests: Nature, hiking, learning to cook, swimming, gaming
- Health: In good heath
- Routine: Thrives with routines and clear boundaries
- Communication: Communicates needs and wants verbally or through texting
- Support Needs: maintaining a consistent sleep schedule; support & encouragement; creating positive friendships
- Ideal Home: A home without small children or pets would match this individual best

- Monthly payment is based on Community Living BC (CLBC) rates, tax free
